The Way of Grace Ministry, Inc.

The Way of Grace Ministry, Inc. (TWOGM) was established in San Jose, CA. in 1991 by Choloh William and Marie K. Simmons. These servants of the Lord Jesus Christ came to the United States of America from Liberia, West Africa, the land of their nativity in pursuit of education.  Choloh wanted to be a medical doctor, and Marie wanted to be a professional nurse. But, the Lord Jesus called them to a caring, ministering, and sharing vocation within the Christian Faith.  With gladness, they responded to the call of the Lord to work in the mission field of Liberia. After many years of living in the USA, Choloh and Marie returned.

The Ministry provided a tuition-free, K-12th grade Christian school, a community clinic, and a local church, preaching and teaching the truth of the Word of God to mostly children and internally displaced families in Liberia between 1992-2007. TWOGM also provided clothes and food to families in several communities. Hundreds of former combatants benefited from the Ministry's Christian humanitarian efforts.

Due to several civil crises, including litigation, the Founders had to close the operations. When the Ebola epidemic outbreak occurred in Liberia, and everything virtually came to a halt, the Founders seized the opportunity to return to the United States to be ministered to, and to complete their post-graduate education. They returned to Liberia in 2018 and have restarted the Ministry's work.
